All Hands Aotearoa’s Learn to Swim – Safety & Confident Program empowers women and girls to develop essential water-safety skills while building lifelong confidence in and around the water. Our program provides a supportive, culturally inclusive, and judgement-free environment where participants can learn at their own pace, guided by qualified instructors who prioritise safety, comfort, and personal growth. Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to strengthen your swimming ability, we are committed to helping you feel safe, confident, and capable in every step of your swimming journey.
Programme Details
- Duration: 3 months
- Each participant receives 10x fully or partially funded swimming lessons
- Lesson delivery: Qualified swimming instructors
- All Hands provides recommended qualified swimming instructors and / or instructors or Parents may choose any pool that suits them subject to prior approval from All Hands Team.
- Funding method: Parents pay upfront if partially funded → email invoices → All Hands makes payments
Eligibility Criteria for Applicant
- Girls and women aged 5–55 years
- Asian community, Pacifica, Māori, restricted cultures or Low income families
- Must complete 10x swimming lessons
- Donation of 1x golden coin (2 Dollar coin) per lesson must be paid to All Hands Aotearoa bank account.

What we don’t Offers
❌ All Hands does not provide transportation to and from swimming venues ❌ All Hands does not book lessons on behalf of parents ❌ All Hands does not bear any responsibility or liability of unfortunate incidents takes place in or during the swimming lessons. ❌ All Hands does not cover additional equipment costs (e.g., togs, towels) ❌ All Hands does not offer lessons beyond the 10 funded sessions per participant ❌ All Hands does not bear cost of cancellation/ rescheduling of swimming lesson or charges incurred due to being absent from swimming lessons.

Conditions:
- Participants must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) via the Google Form; however, the approval of any EOI is at the sole discretion of the All Hands Aotearoa team.
- If a participant fails to complete the swimming lessons, they will be required to reimburse All Hands Aotearoa for the cost of any missed or skipped lessons, unless the session was rescheduled with the swimming school in advance.
- All Hands Aotearoa reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel sessions or program policies due to unforeseen circumstances.
